Web Disk – New Feature of Cpanel Version 11

Besides the new x3 theme and many feature enhancements, Cpanel 11 comes with a “Web Disk”. It allows you to map a network drive to your website directory. You can now copy and paste as if you were working with a local folder. No more messing around with FTP programs and settings.

Warning: Using web disk with Windows Vista can cause hair loss! To install it, you simply click on the icon (Web Disk) shown below and follow the instructions. It has support for Mac, PC, and Linux:

If you are behind a firewall, make sure that ports 2077 and 2078 are allowed for outgoing traffic. Once you are complete with the installation, there will be a network drive icon created on your desktop. You will need to login everytime you use it.

  1. Keep oon working, great job!

  2. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely
long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing.

Do you have any points for beginner blog writers? I’d definitely
    appreciate it.

      Hi,
Well first let us say thank you so much for reiterating your comment! We’re really glad you’re enjoying the blog, and we love the feedback.

As for pointers for beginner bloggers, the following comes to mind:
      1. Consistency (in both the tone and the frequency with which you post) is essential.
      2. Mapping out an editorial calendar is really helpful to keep you on track, so you’re never short on inspiration.
      3. Spread it out – a lot of beginning bloggers give up within the first couple months because they try to take on too much and burn out.
      4. And of course, lots of promotion 🙂
