Cloud is changing the way that data is stored, shared, transferred and today is the first day of Google Cloud Next 2017 where Google shows the world how they plan to take on the cloud leaders like Azure and AWS.

Starting today, Google will discuss the changing world of cloud business and technology including defining how they will set the pace of their cloud services for the upcoming year.  Imagine, learn and build.

Beginning with the keynote, thousands of developers and Google Cloud customers will watch Sundar Pichai, Eric Schmidt and Diane Greene outline their vision for Google Cloud services.  Obviously, they have a lot of work to do to catch Microsoft’s Cloud Services and AWS, which are pushing the boundaries of the cloud industry.

In addition to the keynote, there are several hundred sessions and certification trainings lined up to provide a wide variety of lessons focused on using cloud as the primary backbone for apps, websites and key infrastructure.

Most predictions indicate that the cloud is still in its infancy and will be growing at 20 to 30% per year.

I anticipate that Google will roll out new cloud offerings during the three days.  We are excited to see what comes.
