Google Store View Coming Soon

Everyone knows about Google Street View where you can go to Google Maps and locate any house or building in most of Canada.

Here's is Google Street View of the Richmond Oval:

Now, Google is currently photographing the store shelves and products inside retail stores.  They are going to use these images in their upcoming new product called Google Store View.  I can already see the privacy concerns from this one.

Google Rich Snippets to Include Events

Google introduced rich snippets back in 2009 to give the searchers what they wanted without actually leaving the Google website.  Rich snippets started with basic contact information and gradually moved into customer reviews.  In January 2010, Events was added to the list.  This means anything from town hall meetings, movie times, theatre plays, or new singles meetings can be displayed on the search results.   Using the hCalender microformat, Google's Events rich snippets can display the name, date, a link, location, and photo of the scheduled event.  If your site has event listings you can easily use this feature to help your search results stand out and bring in more customers.  Here is some sample code based on the Events rich snippet.

Bing New Search Options
