Bing New Search Options
It's refreshing to write about another search engine other than Google.
Bing.com is a search engine by the giant, Microsoft. Although it's not as dominant as Google, it will be a contender when the search deal with Yahoo is finalized. Currently, Bing and Yahoo are two separate entities.
Last month, Bing released four new ways to search....
Sports Related
Bing added instant answers for sports information. To see this results, go to Bing and search for a sports team. It will return the teams latest stats as well. If the game is still live, real time updates on the game are available but only in USA. The instant answers are also available on Bing Mobile. You can also search for a team player like Alex Ovechkin. Just do a search and scroll down.
Recipes
Bing Recipes provide results for food recipes. However it works different than sports information. The type of results are more varied for foods. If you search for "chocolate cakes" , you get varied organic results such as web pages, images, news, videos and recipes. You are far more likely to get recipes include if you include "recipe" in search query. It pulls recipes from a number of sites such as MyRecipes.com, FatSecret.com and Delish.com for Recipe section results which include photo, and a 5 star user rating. Bing also drills down in the recipe search to search by rating, cuisine, convenience, occasion, main ingredient, course and cooking method.
Health
On January 12, Bing Health improved their search health results from data providers such as Mayo Clinic. Bing also adds in links for related conditions, related medications, and major medical centers. Clicking on some of the related topics, such as related medications will bring up more detailed information on the subject. If you click medical center link, you will likely find patent ratings from the department of Health and Human Services and other nearby facilities.
Enhanced Auto Search
MSN Autos incorporated a quick answer result set for typical model searches. Do a search for Toyota Prius and Bing will display content from MSN Autos with Price, Fuel Economy, User Rating and links to sales listings, all links to the MSN Auto site.
